I want to trade for a motorcycle. This Cadillac is in excellent running condition. Has 138k miles. It is fully loaded with all options including Onstar, and heated seats.
I live in the United States and I know someone in Canada has a nice bike that they have no use for at all and would like to trade it for a 2 door V8 coupe. This car is front wheel drive, and had traction control on slick roads. Handles really good, and has enough weight to keep you where you want to be. Cadillac got it right on this model. Engine has 300 horsepower and top speed is 150 mph ( I never tried going that fast, it's something Cadillac claims from the factory). Over the weekend I put in new double platinum plugs, and a battery. The engine sounds great. No ticking, knocking, shaking, or any funky noises coming from the engine. Transmission shifts excellent, and steering steers excellent. I put a new serpentine belt on over the weekend also and bypassed the air conditioner. The clutch in the ac compressor went out after I put new seals in the ac system and charged the ac. Right, just my luck. And down here I need my ac, just like up there you need heat. The heater works excellent and has separate climate control for the side passenger, and rear passengers.
Cadillac claims it is impossible to ruin this engine by overheating. Apparently if you drain all the coolant from the radiator and drive the car the computer shuts half the engine off and let's 4 cylinders run so you can get to a safe spot. When those 4 cylinders get hot the computer shuts them off and the other 4 cooler cylinders operate the engine and does that until you get to a safe spot. Really cool right? Especially when you are on a long road trip and your radiator starts leaking, or a freeze plug lets all your coolant leak out. The paint needs a new coat. I been going around the car getting the exterior back to life. The paint faded horribly, and I been sanding and putting primer in some spots. Nothing major, just the plastic bumpers was messed up when I got it. But they aren't messed up anymore. The cars only flaw is the paint. There are only 1596 of these Cadillacs made and this is number 107.
