IEPs can leverage their International Skills

The Internationally Educated Professionals (IEP) Conference is Progress Career Planning Institute's (PCPI) distinctive contribution to assisting skilled immigrants achieve success in their Canadian career journey. Since the inception of the IEP Conference in 2003, PCPI has been delivering the conference with one of its key goals to value IEPs by validating their international skills and experience. The first conference was attended by six hundred and since 2005, closer to 1,000 delegates benefit from the Conference's offerings annually. A key component of the conference is to empower the IEPs to ask questions that are of interest to them and to give them the opportunity to network through practice.

The IEP Conference brings together government representatives, regulatory bodies, educational institutions, professional associations, business professionals and IEPs in a single forum to connect and discuss strategies on how to best assist IEPs to integrate seamlessly into the labour force. A key cornerstone of the event is providing IEPs the opportunity to dialogue directly with employers, industry experts and regulatory body representatives. As such, throughout the event, delegates are encouraged to ask questions, connect with professionals in their field and to persist in looking for opportunities to forward their career in Canada and realize career success.

Conference highlights include:

Keynote Speaker -- Zaib Shaikh, Film Commissioner and Director of Entertainment Industries City of Toronto will inspire the delegates with his own story and the steps taken to achieve success, and being resilient in pursuing his dream.

Successful IEP Panel -- We have a panel of 3 IEPs who have successfully integrated into the Canadian labour market describe their career journeys and what obstacles they have overcome to get to where they are today.
