We are looking for a casual driver for Mondays and Wednesdays and to fill in when needed.
FULL TIME HOURS AVAILABLE FROM MARCH 16 - 31.

The Canadian Red Cross Society, a non-profit, humanitarian organization dedicated to helping Canadians, as well as the most vulnerable throughout the world, is currently seeking a Casual Driver for the Mobile Food Bank program.
Pick up and deliver food hampers to designated destinations, ensuring their safe and punctual arrival.
Load hampers and deliver to clients' homes using the most expedient route;
Report to supervisor, any client feedback and/or health and safety concerns;
Adhere to all reporting requirements, e.g. completion of duty sheets, mileage log, accidents/incidents documentation and program statistics;
Ensure that the exterior and interior of vehicle is clean and presentable;
Conduct daily safety checks, topping up fluids in a timely manner;
Monitor and maintain supplies such as First Aid kit, gloves, etc.;
Operate the vehicle safely and reports any maintenance concerns/problems;
Facilitate the maintenance/repairs by taking the vehicle to scheduled repairs and maintenance appointments;
Adheres to implemented strategies to support social justice and diversity in accordance with Society policies and procedures
Integrates volunteer resources within the job's scope of responsibilities;
Follows all policies and procedures as required to maintain a healthy and safe working environment;
Participate in disaster planning, preparedness and response as required;
Perform other duties as required.
The minimum qualification for this position is a high school diploma with a minimum of two years' driving experience in Toronto. Requirements include a valid class G Ontario Driver's Licence with a good driving record and a high level of comfort to drive large G class vehicles (cube/cargo van). Ability to lift up to 40 lbs is required.
